Rohnert Park-Cotati Library Closes Temporarily for Facility Refresh

The Rohnert Park-Cotati Regional Library closed Sept. 1 while the City of Rohnert Park and Sonoma County Library carry out facility improvements. A temporary Library To-Go location will open Sept. 8 at the Sonoma County Library Headquarters, with programs moving to the Burton Avenue Recreation Center.

The Rohnert Park-Cotati Regional Library temporarily closed Sept. 1 as the City of Rohnert Park and Sonoma County Library begin a focused refresh of the branch. According to the city, the work includes heating, ventilation and air-conditioning improvements; lighting updates; new carpet and paint; a new service desk; an updated children’s area; and selected furniture upgrades. A temporary Rohnert Park-Cotati Library To-Go service is scheduled to open Sept. 8 in the lobby of Sonoma County Library Headquarters at 6135 State Farm Drive. The location is 0.3 miles from the branch and is expected to remain open through January 2027. Library To-Go users will be able to pick up holds, browse new and Lucky Day materials, use self-checkout, receive assistance from library staff and return materials. The temporary service’s scheduled hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Friday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. It will be closed Sundays. Beginning Sept. 2, library programs will be held at the Rohnert Park Burton Avenue Recreation Center, 7421 Burton Avenue. The city said materials will not be available for checkout at the recreation center location.
